Theodor Herzl, known as the father of modern political Zionism, advocated for the establishment of a Jewish state as a solution to anti-Semitism and Jewish suffering in Europe. His vision, famously captured in his phrase "If you will it, it is no dream," laid the ideological foundation for the eventual creation of Israel.
